Matthew Weissberg, President
Director, Technology Infrastructure Services Operations Processes, PNC Financial Services Group

Matt joined the Board in 2014 and led the strategic planning process, managing a team of experienced sport-for-development professionals from across the country, soon after getting involved. He traveled to Cameroon in the summer of 2016 to meet the local management team and connect with the youth we serve. He is based in Pittsburgh with his wife and three children.

Kevin Deutsch, Vice President
Sr. Quantitative Analyst, Corporate Risk, EQT Corporation

Kevin has been a longtime supporter of  CameroonFDP and joined the Board in 2016.  He serves on the fundraising committee and takes an active role in organizing and leading the annual Taste of Africa fundraising event.  Kevin is a lifelong resident of the Pittsburgh region and is an avid world traveler.

David Hackworth, Treasurer
Director of Internal Audit, CNX Resources

David Hackworth is the Director of Internal Audit for CNX Resources and CNX Midstream.  During David’s ten (10) years at CNX or CONSOL Energy, he has worked in Supply Chain, Diversified Business, Gas Operations Strategy and Planning and Corporate Strategy.  Prior to joining CNX / CONSOL, David had a diverse background including working as a Financial Analyst at U.S. Steel’s transportation group (Transtar), working as a Corporate Planner at Consolidated Natural Gas and working in manufacturing as an industrial engineer, supply chain manager and production planner.  David is a native of Pittsburgh, PA where he resides with his wife and three children.  He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh (BA Economics, MS Industrial Engineering) and The College of William and Mary (MBA).

Kim Cermak, Past President
Cross-Cultural Coach and Consultant, Athena Group International

Kim joined the Board of Directors in early 2013 and traveled to Cameroon that summer to see the impact for herself. She is based in Philadelphia and serves on the fundraising committee.

Steve Harris, Member, Fundraising Events Committee
Former Corporate Counsel and Director, International Trade Compliance, II-VI Incorporated

Steve joined the Board in 2018. He is a corporate lawyer with a focus in international trade law and most recently served as in-house counsel for a publicly traded, engineered materials and laser technology company with operations throughout the U.S., Europe and Asia. An avid traveler, Steve has visited nearly 40 countries and every continent except for Antarctica. Steve is based in his native Pittsburgh after stints in DC, Madrid, New York and Kosovo.

Martell Covington, Member, Fundraising Events Committee
Program Coordinator, The African American Leadership Institute, Community Empowerment Association

Martell has been involved with CameroonFDP since 2013. He serves on the Taste of Africa committee and fundraising committee and is actively involved with our young supporters in Pittsburgh. Martell traveled to Cameroon in summer 2016 and realized one of his dreams by visiting Africa before the age of 30.

Meredith Fahey, Member, Fundraising Events Committee
Manager, Deloitte Consulting LLP

Meredith officially joined the board in October 2016 but has been following the evolution of Cameroon FDP since meeting Justin in graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh in 2011. As a former Peace Corps Volunteer Meredith knows first hand the impact organizations like CameroonFDP have on local families and communities in Cameroon. She resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband Jon.

Lance Lindauer, Member, Finance and Governance Committee     Former Co-Director of Operations for National Security Research, RAND Corporation

Lance officially joined the board in 2018 but has been a long-time supporter of–and contributor to–the organization after meeting Justin in graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh in 2011.  He has experience working in business-policy nexus within the public, private, nonprofit, and academic sectors, as well as founding multiple organizations himself.  As a former player and passionate global trekker, he has directly witnessed the positive impacts of beautiful game from southern Chile to northern India–and many points in-between.  
 
He resides in Pittsburgh with his wife, Laxmi, and their daughter, Pari.
 

Sylvia Nanji, Member Emeritus
Professional Certified Coach, New Balance Coaching at Nanji and Associates

“Mama” Sylvia, as she is affectionately known, has been on the Board since 2013 and serves as the liaison to the Cameroonian Community in Pittsburgh. She lives just outside the city of Pittsburgh; while on retirement she still remains quite active as a grandmother of five.

Ghejung Awunti, Member Emeritus
Consultant and Entrepreneur

Ghejung joined the board in 2014 and is responsible for strategic planning and partnerships in Cameroon. He has extensive travel and work experience and is a native to the Northwest Region of Cameroon. He lives outside of Pittsburgh with his wife and three children.
